IMPRINT METHOD 1 OF 9

Screen printing

Ink pulled through a mesh stencil, one screen per color. Bold, tough, and unbeatable value once quantities climb.

How it actually works

STEP 1
Your art gets separated

The logo is split into one layer per ink color. A 2-color logo becomes 2 stencils that have to line up in perfect register on press.

J
STEP 2
Screens are burned

Each layer is exposed onto a mesh screen coated in light-sensitive emulsion. The logo areas wash out, leaving open mesh only where ink should pass. This is the setup fee you see on quotes.

STEP 3
Ink is pulled

The screen sits a hair above the product. A squeegee pull forces PMS-matched ink through the open mesh in one clean stroke, one pass per color.

STEP 4
Cured at ~320°F

Printed goods ride a conveyor dryer so the ink cross-links and bonds with the fabric. This bake is what makes a print survive 50+ washes.

TRY ITDrag the sliders to print each color

Every ink color needs its own screen and its own squeegee pass — and each screen prints a different part of the logo. Pick a color count, then drag each slider to pull that pass and build the print.

Jansco pro tip

Fewer colors = fewer screens = lower setup. A bold 1-color print in your main brand color is often the sharpest and cheapest option on the table.
